We have survived week 1! We have had an amazing first week and have thoroughly enjoyed being new parents! Cooper has been an absolute joy and is such a sweetheart. He LOVES to cuddle and is our little lovebug. He had his first checkup at the pediatrician's office and passed with flying colors. He actually gained 7 ounces since we brought him home from the hospital! He got his newborn screen and didn't cry at all. Let's hope this good behavior lasts! Nights have been active with Cooper getting up 2-3 times each night. Fortunately we have taken turns taking care of him so both Troy and I are getting decent amounts of sleep!
Grandma and Pops Riley have been in town for the last week and we have had a great time visiting with them and Cooper has loved hanging out with his grandparents. Our days have been quiet and Grandma and Pops have enjoyed the 75 degree weather ( a nice change from the snowy Nashville weather!) A huge thank you to Grandma for helping with the laundry, dishes, dinners, breakfasts, cleaning the house, etc. I truly couldn't have gotten through this week without her!! Pops has been helping Troy in the yard which we are greatly appreciative of since our poor lawn has been neglected since the beginning of the nursery project!
