Little guy loses his locks!

The little guy got his first haircut on Valentine's Day this year and despite all of my complaining about his long locks, I am pretty sad to see him looking like a big boy now!! We took Cooper T to Cool Cuts for Kids and had his haircut in a bright red fire engine by Miss Barbara. He was amazing and sat perfectly still the entire time! He did not fuss one time and was more intrigued as to why mommy and daddy and Grandma and Pops were so excited! We are so proud of our big boy and while we miss his baby mullet, he looks pretty darn cute with his new cut. :)

Whoa that is a big cake!

It is so hard to believe that our little lovey is already 1! I cannot believe how fast the year has gone by and we have had a blast watching our little man grow up. I was slightly heartbroken thinking that he is no longer my baby and is growing into a big boy!

Grandma and Pops Riley stopped by for a quick visit on their way to Mexico. It was a much needed vacation for them and I am so glad that they got to come out and just relax. We had a very relaxed agenda and just focused on visiting and enjoying the beautiful weather that we had.

We paid a visit to the Build a Bear Workshop where Cooper picked out his new doggy, Paws. He dressed Paws up in GA football uniform and would not let Paws' cell phone out of his sight. Coop loves loves loves the cell! We also made the trip to Dunkin Donuts where Coop had his first munchkin! This is a tradition of Grandma and Pops with all of the grandbabies and Cooper loved his munchkin! He kept opening his mouth like a little bird and would say .... Oooooo! We had a good time watching him with the munchkins and getting his first real bite of sugar.

Unfortunately, due to the stomach flu, Cooper's birthday get together was canceled so we had a very low key day at home. He played in his new sandbox (thanks Daddy and Pops for putting that together) and with his birthday toys. He rolled his new shopping cart around the house and practiced his walking which he is slowly perfecting!

Cooper talk:
Momma
Mom mom mom mom maaaaa
Dada
Bidga bidga bidga wheee
Ooooooooo

Thanks to everyone for all of Cooper's presents and for making him feel so loved!

Christmas 2010

Cooper's First Christmas!

We were so fortunate to have Troy home for all of the holidays this season. This is a Townsend family first and especially nice seeing as this was Cooper's first Christmas!

We had a fantastic first Christmas and want to extend a huge thank you to all of our family and friends for the wonderful gifts that you sent our family. We had so much fun opening all morning and had to open gifts in 2 shifts! (Naptime!) Cooper was in awe of all his toys and could not decide which ones to play with so he fixated on the pen that I was writing with instead. This child spent all morning long chasing down my pen until he noticed the many toys Santa brought him.

We have enjoyed seeing him play with all of his big boy toys and it is an amazing difference from just several months ago. He loves to walk behind his ride on toys and plays his piano with attitude. :) His Radio Flyer wagon and fire engine have gone over big and he looks forward to his daily rides.

Wishing you all a blessed and very Happy New Year!

Cooper visits Santa and Daddy's Birthday!

We celebrated Troy's 39th birthday this past week and we had a wonderful dinner with presents and a delicous cake! Happy Birthday sweet husband!

We also went to have dinner with Santa Claus this past weekend at our gym. They had a great dinner, horse and carriage rides and a visit with Santa in his workshop. Troy and I were so excited to have Cooper meet Santa and well....the visit didn't go so well! Cooper was fine until we passed him off to Santa. The waterworks and wailing started immediately and we had to rush in to get the little guy. We managed to get the best, most iconic Santa/baby picture. I love this sweet boy so much and I felt so bad that he was so upset....but the picture is priceless!

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season!

9.5 months!

Look at my new teeth!
My new favorite toy!

Cooper T is 9 and 1/2 months now and full of action! He has 3 new teeth and loves his apple and banana puffs, feeding himself and exploring. His new favorite activity is to get into the refrigerator before the door closes. He loves that thing! We have had a great month prepping for Christmas and going to our friend Connor's birthday party. He loved playing with all of the big kid toys at the party. He can't wait to be a big boy which breaks my heart!
